Parts for an EV charging station can run from $300 to over $1,000 for high end models.  But, there are potential risks if you simply plug into an outlet on a shared circuit, older wiring, and breakers.

Electric Costs

Electricity rates are lowest during Super Off-Peak hours (midnight to 6 a.m.). That rate is nearly half of peak hour charges.

Sign up for  EV pricing plan at SDGE and watch for incentives. Solar homes can benefit by selling to the grid during Peak Hours and buying (charging) overnight.
